Re case of Thakur Singh.
He requested an interview and made a statement re
his case. As regards writing the letter he said that he asked Dutt to go to his room. The gramaphone was playing "God save the King". He asked for B. S. Jackh's address, and a letter in my hand writing. I replied. "Why don't you write yourself". He said "I am a Bengali not Punjabi", "he looked sharply at me, said nothing. I was astonished, my heed commenced to ache. I took paper and pencil and wrote the letter. When finished, he took the letter from my
hand, folded it up. I then woke up*.

Thakur Singh wishes to make out that he wrote the
letter when in a hypnotic trance, but if this was so, he would have been unable to give any particulars.

He stated that when he saw Dutt in Canton he was on
old man with a white turban and a white beard. A day or two after- -wards he met him in Hongkong, he had no beard, wore n European hat, wore spectacles and had one eye blind. It is obvious this
Dutt is a myth.

true he gave Mr. Grove one, when Ir. Grove was making enquiries re such papers.)
(4). He had a gramaphone record "God save the King". (5). All Sikhs returning from abroad to the Punjaub are placed under confinement in their villages, but he was permitted by the Government to go where he pleased (This is not fully correct).
